Stu came to our branch on the 25th April 2025, he has taken some time to settle in but we are pleased to report that he is now ready to start looking for his forever home.
Stu came from a multi-dog household, there were over 80 dogs and numerous other animals in squallid conditions, none of them were used to walking on a lead and had little human interaction. Gru is around 3 years old, and is full of energy!
As you may have seen, we also have another spaniel for adoption called Gru, these boys could be rehomed as a pair but at the very least would need another dog for company.
Stu will need some training to master the basics, but as with a typical springer he is eager to please and learn fast.
Stu is a springer spaniel, meaning that you may notice these breed characteristics:
- Springer spaniels like to be kept busy, whether they are working or playing, so ensure you have plenty of time to give these rambunctious boys!
- Stu is very intelligent and are already responding well to training, as above, he will need some more guidance to get him to a good place but he is coming on in leaps and bounds!
- Springer spaniels are a shorter-coated variety of the spaniel but will still need grooming to have them looking their best!
- Springer spaniels often enjoy land work as well as water work, so expect them to find their way into muddy puddles!
