Honey came to our branch on the 13th May 2025, after her previous owner wasn’t able to look after her any more.
She is a beautiful French bulldog who has had a few changes of home, unfortunately she has been the victim of a dog attack and was at one point used for breeding too, all she hopes for is a calming and safe environment.
The kennels staff have described her as a little hippo, she will snuffle her way along the ground and loves her treats. She is such an affectionate young lady and would love to soak up all the affection from a loving home!
Honey is a French Bulldog, meaning you may see these traits:
- French bulldogs are fairly easygoing and amiable, due to her past we have not tested Honey around other dogs and are recommending she is kept as the only dog in a home
- French bulldogs tend to need less exercise than other breeds, but Honey is hoping for a small garden or close proximity to a park as she loves getting out and about
- Unfortunately Frenchies as a breed are more prone to breathing problems, her nostrils are wide enough for this not to be causing her an issue at present but Honey does snuffle quite a bit!
- Frenchies tend to shed less than other breeds, though no dog is truly 100% hypoallergenic
