More information

Dougal is a miniature dachshund who came to our branch on the 19th March 2025.

He is around 6 years old, and has yet to learn his manners as he is not yet housetrained. He loves pottering around in the kennel gardens!

He has been through some stress in his life so is looking for company and care in his new home – but despite this, Dougal is very laid-back, and could live with another cat or dog.

*Please ask about Dougal’s adoption fee, as he is a breed standard miniature dachshund*

Dougal is a miniature dachshund, meaning that you may spot these behaviour patterns:

  • Dougal is keen to play, and dachshunds as a breed are known to chase after mops or chase after dropped items, so ensure you’re able to provide them with plenty of games!
  • Dachshunds are typically strong-willed, meaning that obedience training is a must – especially so with this boy who are still in need of house training!
  • You’ll need to keep Dougal busy with plenty of mental stimulation and exercise, around 2 walks a day is best or plenty of garden playtime as he only has little legs!
