More information

Dahlia came to our branch on the 19th March 2025.

She is available for adoption either as a pair with Dakota, or to a home with another cat or dog.

She is not yet housetrained, she has been through some stress in her life, so is looking for company and care in her new home. She has previously lived with other dogs but is now looking for a slower pace!

Dahlia is very affectionate, you may notice she has a vertical ear canal, this doesn’t affect anything in her daily life and is likely a birth defect.

*Please ask about Dahlia’s adoption fee, as she is a breed standard miniature dachshund*

Dahlia is a miniature dachshund, meaning that you may spot these behaviour patterns:

  • Dachschunds are keen to play, and dachshunds as a breed are known to chase after mops or chase after dropped items, so ensure you’re able to provide them with plenty of games!
  • Dachshunds are typically strong-willed, meaning that obedience training is a must – especially so with these girls who are still in need of house training!
  • You’ll need to keep Dahlia busy with plenty of mental stimulation and exercise, around 2 walks a day is best or plenty of garden playtime as she only has little legs!
