Roy initially came to our branch on the 18th November 2024, where he was being kept outside in unsuitable conditions.
Roy is a Chussel (mix between a Chihuahua and a Brussels Griffon) and he’s 6 years old. He came from the same household as 7 other dogs, who have since been rehomed, and needs to be in a home with no other cats or small animals.
Roy is a crossbreed between a Chihuahua and a Brussels Griffon, which means he is likely to exhibit these breed traits:
- Chussels are known for being great lapdogs and loyalty, making them a favourite of families with young children.
- The breed is also quite energetic, so although they do have a small size and are considered a toy breed, they need plenty of space to run around!
- Chussels tend to shed less than a lot of other dog breeds (but no dog breed is 100% hypoallergenic)
- Chussels can be territorial and over-protective, so owners must keep a close eye on them when introducing them to new family members or animals.
- It’s best to be on the safe side and avoid close contact between the Chussel and pet cats, rodents, birds or reptiles as they have a strong prey drive.
