Kiara came to our branch on the 6th May 2024 from a multi-dog household – she was rehomed back in July 2024 but unfortunately due to issues with the resident dog she is now looking for a new home.
Kiara will need to be the only dog in a household as well as living with older children – she still needs training as she wants to rule the roost at all times.
She’s a beautiful dog and has already improved so much, she is not as boisterous on the lead as she once was and is very loving! She is looking for an owner who is at home a large majority of the time and is able to devote some time to training.
Kiara is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier large crossbreed, so here are some things you should be aware of:
- Staffordshire Bull Terriers are kind and gentle animals, although they do tend to have a stubborn streak so need a firm leader!
- Training a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is relatively easy if they are willing to learn – Kiara will need some house training and plenty of playtime, as she can get destructive when bored.
- Staffies like Kiara are companion dogs, so don’t do well when left alone for too long.
- Staffies have short coats, meaning they are low-maintenance when it comes to grooming.
- Staffordshire Bull Terriers are loyal and protective pets, and will do well in a busy environment with plenty to keep them entertained.
