More information

Bella came to our branch on the 20th of June 2024, as members of her previous household unfortunately developed allergies. She’s a 2 year old black Springador – did you know that the lab part of her breed is one of the most commonly kept dogs in the UK – and several other countries?

As she’s still new to us, we’re working out what her temperament is – but she has previously lived with children, and we’ve been told that she doesn’t like having her nails clipped!

She is well-behaved at the vets and friendly with other dogs – but we ask that if you have small furries, please don’t apply as this wouldn’t suit Bella.

Bella is a Springador, and with the breed there are some typical characteristics of note:

  • Springadors are energetic, friendly and playful, so make sure you’ve got enough time and energy on your hands to keep Bella busy! She’ll be well suited to regular walks and play sessions.
  • Intelligent enough to understand commands, Springadors are trained for a variety of purposes. We recommend any dog should receive training to make sure that their behaviour is appropriate, but luckily it shouldn’t take Bella too long to grasp the basics!
  • Their genetics tend to predispose Springadors as excellent and loyal family dogs, meaning they are good around children and other dogs.
  • Springadors usually don’t shed too much, but it’s reccomended to groom them at least once a week to keep them looking their best.
