We are now on Just Giving - so that people can donate online
justgivinglogo2.jpg

It is now possible for you to donate to RSPCA Lincolnshire Mid and Lincoln online via the website 'Just Giving'.

http://www.justgiving.com/rspcalincoln

Alternatively cheques can be sent to our office at St Marks, Lincoln, LN5 7BA, clearly marked & made payable to RSPCA Lincolnshire Mid and Lincoln branch.

Regular donation: Give through your bank through a regular automated payment- this allows a more effective use of your money as it cuts administration costs. Direct debits in particular save time and paperwork. Why not set up a small donation via direct debit of just a couple of pounds a month. Please contact us (01522 544862) is you can help.

GIFT AID - as a tax payer, you can increase any donation with no cost to yourself by using Gift Aid. For every £1 you give, the charity will receive an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue. It can apply to donations of any amount or method of payment.

We do not receive funding from the National RSPCA organisation (besides some neutering re-imbursements) and they in turn receive no government funding.  So we need to raise all the money required to take in unwanted, bereaved & ill-treated dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, mice, gerbils, hamsters, fish and a tortoise (in the last 12 months)!

The branch is run by one paid part time administrator and many volunteers carrying out various roles.  So that we can continue to help animals in need, it is vital that we raise funds.

We all understand how diffcult life is for many people under the current economic conditions.  But if can spare just a couple of pounds, it all adds up to help animals.  Maybe the branch has helped you in the past and you are now in a position to make a donation in recognition of that help?

If a cash donation is not possible for you at the moment, please consider helping us in other ways that would be appreciated just as much.  You could donate some of your time - just a couple of hours per month can make a difference to an animal's life.  Or you could visit our shop on St Marks, Lincoln City Centre to grab yourself a bargain -you could save money on greetings cards, books, dog food, etc.

Just a couple of examples of how your money is used.

morkcat.jpgMork was mis-treated by his previous owners, and came into our care very close to death.  Karen, our volunteer cat foster mum, cared for him, and after many hundreds of pounds of veterinary treatment, his condition is now stable.  He is a very affectionate, friendly chap and is now waiting for a special home to spend the rest of his life.

fudge&baby251009.jpg

This family of rabbits were lucky to be alive.  Fudge was brought to us as a stray and gave birth one week later.  Was she let loose by her owners when they realised she was pregnant?  Luckily, a kind member of the public brought her into us, and Dawn, our rabbit fosterer, cared for Fudge and her 5 babies until they were neutered and rehomed.

Heathcliffe & Cathy's mum just couldn't afford to keep them anymore.  She was heartbroken to have to give them up.  But she knew we would take care of them until a loving, permanent home could be found.
