Sponsoring a dog

If you are not in a position to adopt any of the animals that you see on the Website, please consider sponsoring one? Maybe one of the long termers or one who has a medical condition. This will save some of our funds and you will be able to get an update from the Foster Mum who is looking after the animal you choose to support.

If there is a dog you are interested in, firstly contact Denise who will take your details & discuss further. You can then make arrangements to visit the dog at the Panton kennels at Wragby - they would love to see you, but make an appointment first! If you are happy that the dog is suited to your home, a homevisit will be arranged. The dog will be reserved for you pending this successful homevisit. You are invited to express interest in dogs who have been reserved just in case the first homevisit fails or the original people change their minds.

If you would like to meet one of the dogs please ring Denise on 01522 544862.

DOG FOSTERERS NEEDED

Could you be a fosterer for one of our long-term dogs?  Some of our dogs have been in kennels for many months now, and are absolutely desperate for a home.  They are overlooked by potential new owners through absolutely no fault of their own - they are well trained and will make wonderful pets.  Please see the detailed article about Dog Fostering on the Latest News page.

The links to videos of all our animals will open in a new window on another website - we are not responsible for the content of these websites, or any of the other charities using them.

amberandbertie.jpgAMBER is an 11 year old female and BERTIE is a 12 year old male.  Both are Border Terrier/Lakeland terrier crosses.  Amber is the longer haired calmer one of the two.  She looks very cute in the photo as she has sawdust all in her fur!  Bertie trotted off to go and have a 'conversation' with another dog and was absolutely full of beans.  You'd think he was 7 years old!  Amber wagged her tail when he came back she she clearly like having him around.  These two really need to be rehomed together.  They can't be rehomed with other dogs or cats but are known to be good with children.  A super little pair who will settle into a new home much quicker than a younger dog as they are so calm.  Click here for photobucket link for more photos and video.

kipper 230.jpgkipper smiling 230.jpgKipper is a very handsome and stunning red Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross aged around three years. He's very good with children and gets on with other dogs. Kipper was a little nervous when you first approached him and wanted to stay in his kennel initially but within a few minutes he soon gained confidence and suddenly transformed into the happiest little boy in the kennel with a tail that wagged at a 100mph non stop! A really lovely little chap who is an absolute charmer. More photos and video here.

max face 230.jpgmax full 230.jpgMax is a medium sized crossbreed with a bit of German Shepherd in his bloodline. He's around 2-3 years old and really didn't want visitors to his kennel intially as he was a bit frightened. We opened the door and let him come to us in his own time. Max approached a 12 year old girl first and tucked himself under her arm. Once he knew his visitors were all friendly he soon became a very happy boy who thoroughly enjoyed his time out of the kennel with two children having lots of fuss and love. Watch the video . . . . his tail never stops wagging! Link to more photos and video.

leo face 230.jpgLeo is a male 2-3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Leo is good with other dogs and described by the kennel owner as "a nice boy". He's a young, strong boy and so full of energy. Once he's had a few minutes running around he soon calms down and comes for some fuss and attention. Visitors need to understand that Staffies absolutely love people and want to be with people all of the time so they literally erupt from their kennel full of the joys of life wanting to say hello at 100 mph. Just give them chance to calm down and you'll meet a boy for more like the pet you would take home. They are very loyal dogs who just don't want to leave your side. minnie2.jpgminnie_face_230.jpgMINNIE is a 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She came to us from a very busy home with seven children and has gone from being a terrified little girl to an adorable cuddly sweetheart who is well loved by all volunteers and staff. Minnie adores having her tummy tickled and is such a good girl. She's go back into her kennel without any problems and rather amusingly always lies down when you tell her to sit! This girl will make an absolutely wonderful addition to any family and would be a delight to any home - although not with other dogs, as she is not keen on them.  See Minnie and the foal sharing a kiss on the video link!
